Maximizing Your Donations

How to Maximize Donations to Your Organization

The more you do the more funds you raise!
  • 56% of adults are connected to the Internet.
  • 52% of these people have purchased something via the Internet!
  • A new family is connected to the Internet every two seconds.

Many of the people who designate your organization as beneficiary for shopping donations will be people who are already on your mailing lists. We find that the amount of money your organization receives is in proportion to your efforts to make supporters aware of ShopsThatGive.com. Here are ways you can do that.

    1. Banners and/or Banner Links. Place a banner or banner link from ShopsThatGive.com on your website. You can download a banner or banner link from this website. Your webmaster can handle this. Click Here to view the banner selections.
    2. E-mail. Add a ShopsThatGive.com announcement to your next e-mail to supporters. Spread the good news about fundraising for your cause by using ShopsThatGive.com e-mails. Click Here to view the announcement flyers and e-mail samples you can download or copy. Send everyone in your e-mail address book one of these sample e-mails.
    3. Snail Mail. Download or copy an announcement flyer, letters or individual paragraphs. Customize to suit your situation and print it for mailing to your supporters with your next newsletter to supporters.

    How Fundraising Works

  • You select one of our listed organizations or submit your favorite organization (cause) for listing on the ShopsThatGive.com website. Causes can be submitted by someone representing the organization or by a supporter of an organization who becomes a member of ShopsThatGive. Any beneficial organization may be submitted. Offensive organizations will not be listed on this site.

  • Stores that agree to donate have links on the ShopsThatGive.com website. The links for each store indicates the percentage of the sales that will be donated to our member's favorite cause.

  • Online shoppers who visit the ShopsThatGive.com website may choose your cause as the beneficiary of their internet shopping. Once listed, an organization can maximize donations by asking all of their supporters to start their Internet shopping at ShopsThatGive.com.

  • Causes can place a link to ShopsThatGive.com on their website. Causes should also tell people as part of any mailings to their supporters. ShopsThatGive.com provides banners and links to add to websites as well as flyers and sample letters to include in mailings to supporters of your cause.

  • When you and other supporters shop on the internet, use the links to the stores from the ShopsThatGive.com website. Stores donate the indicated percentage of each sale to your cause. ShopsThatGive.com collects the donations from the various stores and sends them to your organization in the name of the member who made the purchase. Payments are made within a few weeks after the funds are received from the stores. Stores may pay in monthly or quarterly installments.
